Ellisville Community Farmers Market

The Ellisville Farmers Market will be held on Thursdays afternoonsΒ fromΒ June 2, 2011 through mid October at the Bluebird Park on Keifer Creek Road. We will be featuring locally produced food items, vegetables, fruits, herbs, baked items and more.Β Β Along with the local produce there will be demonstrations, moviesΒ and the kid's market program. Market Master Rene Sackett, along with the City of Ellisville, are excited about a bigger and better 2011Β season inΒ Bluebird Park. The community pool, tennis courts, playground, trail system and amphitheatre are all located in proximity to our new Farmer's market area. Both Rene and the City are committed to bringing the local community together each Thursday for a successful and fun market experience. In addition Rene is working with SLOW FOOD's St Louis Chapter this season hopes to bring an educational element to the Market.

We are currently seeking local and sustainable producers of naturally grown vegetables, grains, nuts, fruits and berries, herbs and other produce. If you are a farmer that raises clean beef, pork, chicken, lamb, bison or other meat please join us. We welcome food artisans that produce wine, cheese and other locally produced food products. We would like to invite foragers that gather wild mushrooms and other edibles. Beekeepers with local honey as well as alpaca, wooly sheep, hairy goat and other fiber bearing animal owners- please come and share your wares.

We are also looking for local musicians and other family and Market oriented entertainment. Please contact us if you are interested in showcasing your talents to the local community.

If you are an educator or artisan that would like to demonstrate your craft and share your knowledge and/or educate the public please contact us for further discussion. We are looking for local folks with a gift or skill in old style arts and crafts, such as weaving, pottery, soap and candle making, beekeeping, canning and preserving, papermaking and the like.

The Children's Market Program will also continue this season. Look for new and creative hands-on activities and demonstrations this season.

The Market vendor rules are posted on this website. If you have any additional questions please contact the Market Master. If you would like to become a vendor, the application can be printed and filled in, checks can be made payable and mailed to the City of Ellisville.
