On October 25th, the Wildlife Rescue Center will host Tails of the Night. This night-time celebration of nocturnal animals runs from 5pm to 9pm. Costumed night hikes, a campfire, and creepy crawly fun make this event a yearly favorite!

Make-and-take a special Wildlife Rescue Center treat bag, grab your flashlight, and head out to the nature trail. There we’ll visit one-of-a-kind wild costumed characters, each with a tale to tell and a healthy, eco-friendly goody to give, like Seneca apple chips and Endangered Species chocolate! Once you’re back, take an audio guided tour of our wildlife rehabilitation facility and chat with scientists from Missouri Bat Census. At our Swamp Station you’ll meet Mother Nature, who will share all about creepy crawlies and introduce you to North the turtle and Jake the snake, up close! And don’t forget about the campfire where kid-friendly concessions including apple cider, s’mores, and hotdogs will be available for purchase.

Tickets are $6 in advance or $8 at the door. Reserve a night hike time with your ticket purchase. Spots are limited, so hurry for this wildly popular event!
