Rockwood School District: Rockwood Board Of Education Holds Reorganization Meeting, Elects Officers

The Rockwood School District Board of Education held its reorganization meeting Thursday, April 8.Directors Jaime Bayes and Tamara Jo Rhomberg were sworn in for new three-year terms that will end in the spring of 2024. Bayes was first elected to the board in 2015 and will begin her third term, while Rhomberg begins her second full term after being appointed to the board in 2017.The Rockwood Board of Education also voted Bayes as the new board president for the 2021-2022 school year, succeeding Loralee Mondl. The board voted for Lynne Midyett to remain board vice president, Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent Janet Sadowski to remain secretary and Chief Financial Officer Paul Northington to remain ​treasurer."I would like to thank Director Mondl for her past several years of service in her role as board president," Bayes said. "She has ​led us through challenging times and done it very well." During her time in Rockwood, Bayes has been active as PTO co-president, vice president of Caring Schools Community, co-vice president of Presidents' Forum and Girls on the Run coach, and has served on many other committees and forums in her children's schools as well as the district.Rhomberg has 50 years of educational experience covering a wide range of roles and positions, including as a teacher in Lindbergh School District and as a reading specialist, language arts/intervention coordinator, OASIS coordinator and Title I coordinator in Rockwood.
