"About half of our competitors finished in the top five in their events for the entire state of Missouri," said Jennifer Keillor, Lafayette teacher and club sponsor. "These students worked diligently to prepare for the event, which required them to compete in a virtual format, something that they are not accustomed to as usually we travel to Rolla to compete. Given the circumstances of having to learn in a new way this school year, I am extremely proud of their ability to rise to the occasion and excel at the conference."

The conference provides students real-world experience and helps them develop leadership skills and other skills needed to succeed in their potential medical or health-related career.

Congratulations to the following Rockwood students who participated in various events! They have the opportunity to compete at the HOSA Virtual International Leadership Conference, June 23-26.
