The Rockwood Board of Education has approved the hiring of Dr. Jason Lievanos as the new assistant principal at Kehrs Mill Elementary beginning July 1. Dr. Lievanos replaces Hector Ramirez, who has been named the new principal at Blevins Elementary.Currently, Dr. Lievanos is an assistant principal at Wildwood Middle, a position he has held since 2014. He is also an adjunct professor in education at Missouri Baptist University. Prior to his current position in Rockwood, he taught for four years in the Parkway School District as a middle school social studies teacher, was an elementary teacher assistant at Stanton Elementary and taught fourth grade for four years in Yorba Linda, California. Dr. Lievanos earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Science and a Master of Science in Education: Curriculum and Instruction from Missouri Baptist University. He also holds a Certificate in Special Populations from Pacific Lutheran University, and a Master of Education in Administration, a Specialist in Education degree and a doctorate degree, all from Missouri Baptist University.“I'm looking forward to joining the outstanding Kehrs Mill community and returning back to the elementary world,” shared Lievanos. “Rejoining the elementary level will provide more time and opportunities to connect with and support the children and families of our Rockwood community. Elementary is a special chapter in our children's lives, and I'm excited about this new adventure!”Dr. Lievanos and his wife, Angela, reside in Ellisville and are proud parents of four girls -- Adelyn, Marcella, Elsie and Amelia -- who attend Westridge Elementary and Selvidge Middle schools.
