The Rockwood Board of Education has approved the hiring of Mr. Hector Ramirez as the new principal at Blevins Elementary School

The Rockwood Board of Education has approved the hiring of Mr. Hector Ramirez as the new principal at Blevins Elementary School, beginning July 1, 2021. Mr. Ramirez replaces Dr. Sharon Jackson, who is retiring after 25 years with the district.Currently, Mr. Ramirez is the assistant principal at Kehrs Mill Elementary School, where he has worked since 2019. Prior to that, he worked as a principal at an elementary school in the Northwest School District and as an assistant principal at Stanton Elementary, where he began his teaching career. Mr. Ramirez earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from William Woods University and a Master of Arts in School Administration from Lindenwood University. He also earned his Educational Specialist in Administration from William Woods University, and he is working toward earning his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from there as well.​“I feel very grateful and blessed to serve as the new principal at Blevins Elementary,” shared Mr. Ramirez. “I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition of outstanding education.  I look forward to meeting and getting to know the Blevins students, staff and parents. Bobcat PRIDE!”Mr. Ramirez lives with his wife, Katie, and two young children in High Ridge.
