βThe Rockwood Board of Education has approved the hiring of Mrs. Jessica Sumner as a new assistant principal at Crestview Middle beginning July 1, 2021. Mrs. Sumner replaces Dr. Kelly Sollberger, who has accepted a position outside of the district.Currently, Mrs. Sumner is a second-grade teacher at Green Pines Elementary, a position she has heβld since 2018. Prior to that, she tβaught for seven years in the Parkway School District.Β Mrs. Sumner earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and both a Master of Science in Educational Administration and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction frβom Southwest Baptist University.βI am honored and thrilled to join the Crestview family as the new assistant principal,β shared Sumner. βI look forward to working alongside the incredible Crestview staff and community to support the ongoing mission to develop independent, lifelong learners and creative, responsible citizens who are prepared for the diverse and complex society of the future.βMrs. Sumner is a graduate of Eureka High and began her career as a student teacher at Pond Elementary in Rockwood School District. She lives with her husband, Jon, who is the activitiesΒ director at Lafayette High, and their four children in Wildwood.
