The Rockwood Board of Education has approved the hiring of Mrs. Sarah Goodman as a new assistant principal at Rockwood Summit High, beginning July 1, 2021. Mrs. Goodman replaces Mr. Erik Graham, who returned from retirement t​o assist us temporarily with a vacancy at Rockwood Summit.Currently, Mrs. Goodman is an English language arts teacher at Eureka High, a position she has held since she began her teaching career in 2009. Mrs. Goodman is a National Board Certified teacher who has served as a ​new teacher mentor, curriculum writer and as a district Professional Development Committee chair. At Eureka High​, she created and implemented a program designed to close the opportunity gap for minority students in advanced courses. She is a member of the Eureka High School equity team and the Rockwood Learning Council’s Diversity and Cultural Competency action group. Mrs. Goodman earned both a Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education and a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University.“We are excited to welcome Mrs. Goodman to the Rockwood Summit community,” said Rockwood Summit Principal Dr. Emily McCown. “She brings with her expertise from the classroom that will continue to move us forward to meet our students' and staff's needs.”  Mrs. Goodman is a native of Missouri and lives with her husband and two children in Wildwood.
