Parents will have the opportunity to register recommended elementary and middle school students for the first session of Rockwood Summer Academy starting Friday, March 12.The first session of Rockwood Summer Academy runs June 7 through July 2. Elementary students may attend in-person Summer Academy courses at Bowles, Ellisville, Eureka and Westridge elementary sc​hools, and middle school students may attend classes at Crestview Middle and Rockwood Summit High.Elementary and middle school students are identified and invited to the June session based on recommendation by their teachers, guidance counselors and/or principals. Parents of invited students will be emailed registration forms on Friday, March 12, and will have until Sunday, April 11, to register their students.High school students and families are already in the process of working with their school guidance counselors to register for the June 7 - July 2 session. The high school Rockwood Summer Academy includes credit recovery options for students as well as the opportunity for first-time credit in Health, Personal Fitness and Wellness, Art Fundamentals and Personal Finance. The deadline for enrolling in first-time credit courses is Friday, April 30.High school Summer Academy courses are fully online with Rockwood teacher support. Additional in-person support is available at Lafayette High and Rockwood Summit for all students enrolled in the June session. Students will be able to come to these schools for academic support, internet access and technical support.More information on the second Rockwood Summer Academy session, which runs July 12 through August 6, will be available in the coming weeks. The July 12 session will be delivered virtually, is open to all students and is focused on skills and enrichment.Please continue to check the Rockwood Summer Academy website for more information and updates.
