Track and Field Season Concludes in Jefferson City
Lafayette, Marquette and Parkway high school students competed in the state Track and Field Championships in Jefferson City over the weekend.

Several area athletes and teams participated in the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Track and Field Championships in Jefferson City last Friday and Saturday. Here are some area highlights:

Parkway West junior Nicole Douglas won the 300 hurdles in 43.21. She finished third in the 100 hurdles at 14.81.
Parkway West senior Nick Ingle finished fifth in the 800 in 1:55.31.
Marquette senior Taron Street placed third in the boys 300-meter hurdles with a time of 37.68.
Marquette junior Jeff Orf placed seventh in the 800-meter run at 1:56.48.
Lafayette junior Chris Caldwell won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.27.
Lafayette's Chris Orange placed eighth in the 300 hurdles at 40-05.
Lafayette's Cameron Carroll placed 10th in the long jump (20-05.75).
Lafayette's 4x400 relay team of Orange, Khahyil Moore, Devin Hampton and Caldwell finished fifth (3:20.78).
Lafayette's Mackenzie Schweitz placed 11th in the high jump (5-0).
Parkway South junior Dominique Jenkins finished seventh in the girls triple jump with a leap of 44-3.
