In order to qualify, members submitted an entry telling the credit union what their dreams were for their futures. Bauer’s entry discussed her plans to teach math and focused on the use of technology in education. Rebecca chose an Apple laptop. Heatley’s entry described his plans to be a police officer and help others; the computer would help him with homework and keeping in touch with various groups he belongs to. Elijah chose a Dell desktop computer.
“Our goal with this contest was to encourage young people to explore their options after graduating,” said Community Engagement Manager, Rachel Parrent. “With technology being such a large part of education, we thought the prize would definitely be put to good use.” Vantage Credit Union congratulates Rebecca and Elijah and wishes them both well in their future endeavors.
