Arthritis Walk Big Success

The St. Louis Arthritis Walk was held Friday, May 17.  There were over 1,000 participants, and over $116,000 has been raised to date!  This year’s top individual fundraiser was our 2013 Arthritis Walk Youth Honoree, Markie Bullington; she raised over $3,600!  Way to go Markie!   A huge thank you goes out to our presenting sponsor Stifel, and our host for this year’s event, Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs.  Logan College’s fundraising efforts totaled over $20,000 to fight arthritis in the greater St. Louis area!

The Arthritis Walk is the signature fundraising event in the fight against arthritis.  It is a celebration of year-round movement.  Money raised supports the research, programs and services of the Arthritis Foundation.  There are 1,325,000 people in Missouri who suffer with some form of arthritis; many of them are children under the age of 18, like Markie.

If you were unable to attend this year’s Arthritis Walk and would like to make a donation, please contact Jan Bignall, Arthritis Foundation Executive Director at (314) 447-4881 or jbignall@arthritis.org.
