Brinkmann Constructors Begins $15 Million Phase I Expansion of Friendship Village Chesterfield Senior Living Community in Chesterfield, Mo.

Brinkmann Adding 30 Apartments and a Heated Underground Parking Garage

ST. LOUIS, MO. – Friendship Village Chesterfield is advancing Phase I of a master planned expansion of its senior living community in Chesterfield, Mo.  Brinkmann Constructors has begun the $15 million project which will add 30 senior living apartments and a heated underground parking garage.  The addition will give Friendship Village Chesterfield 442 residences at the 34-acre campus located at 15201 Olive Boulevard.  It will be completed by year end.

The one- and two-bedroom apartment homes range in size from 985 to 1608 square feet and feature spacious patios or balconies. Clad in masonry and siding, the apartments will include energy efficient appliances, urgent response systems and fire protection systems.  

During the expansion, improvements will also be made to the main dining area, the lobby and campus-wide technology.  Future planned phases include a new central park area with walking paths and recreational spaces, and a new, state-of-the-art “Village Care Center,” designed as a home-like skilled nursing facility.

Brinkmann is also nearing completion of Phase I of a $50 million expansion of the Friendship Village Sunset Hills senior living community in Sunset Hills, Mo. The general contractor is building 10 new independent living villas giving the community a total of 415 independent living units on the 52-acre campus.

A local board of directors governs both Friendship Village communities while Iowa-based Life Care Services manages them to provide a vibrant alternative for senior living with independent units, assisted living and skilled nursing care.
