There is a nation wide prescription take back day on Saturday April 27th. It will be held from 10:00am - 2:00pm. The Chesterfield drop of location is the Chesterfield Police Department (690 Chesterfield Pkwy West). It is important to dispose of your unused medications properly for many reasons. If it is flushed down the toilet or thrown in the trash it can contaminate our drinking water. There are already alarming trace amounts of prescription drugs in our water. Also you want to keep dangerous drugs out of the hands of people who might abuse them. Many teenagers start their drug use by abusing their parents prescription drugs and they foolishly think it is safer because a doctor prescribed them. The point I am getting at is that if you have expired or unused medication PLEASE take it to be properly disposed of this Saturday!! If you do not live in Chesterfield you can visit the following website to find out a drop off location near you.
