LaBest offers professional styling at your door step! Our stylist are fully trained from a simple bath and brush to specific breed styling. LaBest Mobile Grooming is operated by Deborah W. and Stephanie, who both have many years of experience. We also offer delivery of specialty foods such as Taste of the Wild and Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers Soul as well as Yard Clean Up Service.

Deborah Walker has been part of the grooming industry for over 40 years.  She will be servicing the Illinois area to stay closer to the business. Deborah’s skills range from being an Animal Behavior Specialist to owning and teaching in an ISCC school.  She is a Petcare Dermatech Specialist,  Master Pet Stylist, Meritus as well as a certifier and consultant with the International Society of Canine Cosmetologists.  Deborah is proud to be a part of her achievements with ISCC because it allows her to continue her education and to share it with others.  She is also a contest judge, speaker handler and trainer specializing in difficult animals.  Deborah is best known for her achievements in the Creative Styling ring.  Deborah’s designs were instrumental in turning the creative ring into the pieces of art that we see today.  Her first creation was a court jester. Her next design called My Little Pony which earned her a first place.  Deborah’s other first places were earned with the Dream Lion, Papa Smurf, Winnie the Pooh all done with her mini poodle, Chico.  She used her standard poodle, Christopher to do Mickey Mouse and her most famous design, Big Bird…stage and all! Deborah had the distinct honor of judging the Laube Creative Styling Invitational at the U.S. Pet Pro Classic. 

Stephaney began her career in the pet industry rather by accident in early 2006 when she got a job as a bather at a local pet resort.  Realizing early on that this was her calling, she gained experience in kennel work and doggie daycare, until finally returning and settling in to the grooming salon. She was taught to groom, and quickly perfected the skills of a professional pet stylist, always with an eye for improvement.
With big plans for her grooming career, she indulged her love for cats and became a member of the National Cat Groomer’s Institute of America.  In late August 2011, she attended their cat grooming school, where she passed the extensive written and practical exams to become a Certified Feline Master Groomer.  She is the first, and currently the only, “CFMG” in the state of Missouri.
Stephaney has since become an avid speaker, encouraging other groomers to gain a better understanding of their feline clients.  She is an active member of the Missouri Pet Groomer’s Association, and a frequent speaker on cat grooming at the St Louis Groomer’s Fair.  She is also a founding “Cat Guru” with The Cat Grooming Symposium, a weekend-long convention centered on educating professionals and their clients.

She has recently joined the team of LaBest Mobile Grooming Inc servicing the St. Louis, Missouri area.
