Anita's Mental Health Tips

Individuals, couples and families are challenged in many ways. Challenges may manifest as anxiety, depression, grief or under achievement.

In life we all experience periods of depression, anxiety, grief and loss or under achievement. During those times we feel our feelings, release them and move forward. It is only when they become a problem for us that further attention is warranted.

If you need help with releasing painful feelings allow me to suggest a few tips:

  • Do not allow addictions (chemicals, food, spending, sex, work, etc.) to stop painful feelings.
  • No distractions. Allow yourself to feel your feelings.
  • Talk to someone you trust.
  • Take a walk or exercise.
