Walk into any Hallmark store in mid-July and you will see a great transformation from Mother's and Father's Day to Christmas. You could get transported to the holidays with wall-to-wall ornaments and holiday decorations and cards if you didn't have to walk back outside into the 102 degree heat!
As parents, we don't like to wish away the days when our kids are young. We want them to stay little forever. As St. Louisans, however, we do tend to wish away the hot and muggy days of summer and the cold and windy days of winter. Hmmm.
What to do? How about turning your thoughts to holiday shopping? Is that a scary thought for you? Maybe you are one of those day-after-Thanksgiving shoppers...not me! I wait until the holidays are in full swing and then go searching for the "perfect" gift for everyone! This year, is going to cater to ME with an Artist Trunk Show in December.
