Cedar Lake Cellars To Host Fourth of July Celebration

St. Louis winery holds retro Independence Day party.

Cedar Lake Cellars will host a retro Fourth of July celebration on Fri., July 4 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. for those 21 years of age and older.

The event includes old-fashioned fun including pie-eating contests, a corn hole tournament, and potato sack races. Each activity, which costs $5 per event or $12 for all three, will award one winner with a $25 winery gift certificate. Proceeds benefit The BackStoppers, a non-profit organization founded in 1959 to support the families of fallen heroes in the greater St. Louis region. The group uses their funding to emotionally and financially assist families of police, firefighters and EMS/EMT personnel that are dealing with the loss of their first responder.

A picnic buffet served on the winery’s lawn at picnic tables includes grilled pork steaks, fried chicken, Maine blueberry lobster salad and more. Live music will be provide by The Woo Daddies.

Cedar Lake Cellars, which is situated on 170+ acres of picturesque land, is located at 11008 Schreckengast Rd. in Wright City, Mo. The restaurant seats 90 indoor and 120 patio diners with a wine bar that features 15 Cedar Lake Cellars wines, as well as 25 wines of the world, craft and domestic beers, and signature wine slushies.
