Cole Gibsen discovered her love of writing in Mrs. Lochman’s sixth-grade class. In college, Cole set her poetry to music and joined a band. Luckily for Cole (and people who love music), she quit the band and decided to devote herself to her true love: writing young adult fiction. Her debut novel,Katana, about a girl who gets possessed by the spirit of a fifteenth-century samurai, is due out from Flux in spring 2012. Cole resides in the Greater St. Louis area.
