The WWII Submarine Veterans and the St. Louis United States Submarine Veterans (USSVI) group will be conducting a "Tolling of the Boats" ceremony in Manchester at Stoecker Memorial Park. This ceremony honors men and submarines lost since the formation of the US Navy's Submarine Force. A solemn ceremony where the fate of these lost submarines and men is read aloud for the audience and a bell is tolled in memory of each boat. A time honored tradition started by the WWII Submarine Veterans and carried forward by the USSVI.
The ceremony starts promptly at 10:00am - so please be there early!
