It Was A Really Good Friday

Students Marched for Meals for Home-bound Seniors

While other students chose to spend their Spring Break heading to warmer climes, playing video games, or simply catching up on their sleep, Tim Walden and Adrienne Compton had a different idea. Together with Dr. Kevin Carl, superintendent of the Hancock Place School District, they spent part of their free time delivering meals to home-bound seniors in South County as part of the 14th Annual National March for Meals Campaign. The students and Dr. Carl delivered much-needed meals to seniors on Good Friday, March 25. The program is coordinated by the Mid-East Area Agency on Aging (MEAAA) which currently delivers 2,700 meals per day to home-bound seniors over the age of
