Mid-East Area Agency on Aging and Give STL Day
Area Agency on Aging Donors Supports Local Charity and its Program of Work

The Mid-East Area Agency on Aging (MEAAA) raised $1,870 during Give STL Day, a 24-hour giving campaign to encourage donors to support nonprofits in the St. Louis Area on Tuesday, May 5.
MEAAA was founded in 1973 after passage of the Older Americans Act. The agency operates 23 senior centers in four counties in the region - St. Louis, St. Charles, Franklin and Jefferson Counties - and provides Meals on Wheels to more than 2,000 homebound seniors each week. Delivering these meals also provides an opportunity for socialization, and MEAAA visits save lives by finding seniors who have fallen or had major health issues. Other MEAAA services include job training, transportation, energy and legal assistance, incontinence supplies, consumer information and help with Medicare and Affordable Care Act enrollments.
