MO Cures Executive Director Dena Ladd Appointed To Alliance for Regenerative Medicine Board

Ladd Only Missouri Representative On National Medical Board

Dena Ladd, Executive Director of Missouri Cures has been appointed to the Executive Committee as well as reappointed to the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Regenerative Medicine (ARM), an international organization representing the gene therapy, cell therapy and tissue engineering sector. Ladd is the only Missouri representative on this national board which represents more than 30 medical scientists, scientists and researchers across the country.

“Throughout this board selection process, we’ve ensured special considerations made to reflect the diverse focus areas across our membership,” said Morrie Ruffin, managing director, of ARM. “We welcome this new board and look forward to leveraging the expertise of Dena and the other board members to propel our growing organization forward and continue to promote the sector.”

About Missouri Cures Missouri Cures was founded in 2005 as the Missouri Coalition for Lifesaving Cures, a bi-partisan group that supported the Stem Cell Research and Cures Initiative, a constitutional amendment adopted by voters in November, 2006 that insure any stem cell research and treatments allowed under federal law would also be allowed in Missouri.

Executive Director of Missouri Cures Dena Ladd spends a majority of her time educating the state’s citizens on exactly what stem cell research means and the medical advances that can come from such research, and an alliance of more than 150,000 individuals and more than 100 patient, medical and other groups stand behind the nonprofit organization.
