Monsanto St. Louis Women's Network Raises Money For Girls In The Know
Company grant, collected donations to help non-profit organization
The St. Louis Monsanto Women’s Network recently raised funds at a bullying prevention event to support Girls in the Know’s Marshall Mentor Program. Girls in the Know is a non-profit organization designed to educate and empower girls ages nine to 13 with their moms or mother figure.
“The members of our employee network were excited to help raise awareness and support for bullying prevention in the St. Louis area,” said Brenda Cockrell, Monsanto Global Volunteer Program manager. “We are proud to support nonprofit organizations here and in the many other communities where we operate.”
In addition to a $500 “Monsanto Together” service grant, employees collected $1,000 in donations during the St. Louis Cardinal’s pep rally on Sept. 1. The pep rally was presented by the Marshall Movement and Girls in the Know at the second annual Marshall’s Bullying Prevention Day with the Cardinals.
