UPDATE: Parents Encouraged to Register Early for Parkway 2013-14 Kindergarten

UPDATE: Only those students who register on Jan. 29 are eligible to win the summer class.

Registration for the Parkway School District's 2013-14 tuition-free, full-day kindergarten begins Jan. 29. It takes place at all of the district's elementary schools. Students registered before Feb. 1 will be eligible to win a summer kindergarten prep class valued at $50.

The Parkway School District released the details in the following news release.

It could pay to register early for kindergarten this year.  Registration for Parkway’s 2013-14 full-day, tuition-free kindergarten program begins Tuesday, January 29, at every elementary school.  Those who register before February 1 will be eligible to win one of 18 free “Jumpstart to Kindergarten” classes ($50 value) this summer.

Students must be five-years-old before Aug. 1, 2013, to enter kindergarten for the 2013-14 school year.

Parkway’s program offers rich opportunities to accelerate each child’s learning and development. The curriculum is designed so students see themselves as capable, curious and confident readers, composers, scientists, mathematicians, artists and community members.
