Ruth's Chris Steak House Toasts Special Olympics

Ruth’s Chris Steak House-Downtown at the Hyatt Regency Hotel recently hosted a wine tasting reception benefiting Special Olympics to help kick off the 2nd Annual “Over the Edge” rappelling competition down the side of the hotel.

Event highlights included a silent auction, a wine tasting with more than 30 select wines from Glazers featuring such brands as Grigich Hills, Jordan, Duckhorn, Far Niente, Silver Oak, Heintz, and Artemis along with signature Ruth’s Chris hors d’oeuvres, e.g., Kobe beef sliders, voodoo lobster, assorted cheeses and desserts.

Over the Edge is a friendly competition to raise awareness and funds for the Special Olympics. Those who participate are known as Edgers who rappel down a building. The program is run by Over The Edge USA which provides experienced safety techs who provide training and assistance with each edger as they rappel down a building.
