Fontbonne Welcomes New Senior Director of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving

ST. LOUIS – Fontbonne University has named Michelle Siegel as senior director of alumni relations & annual giving. 

In her new role, Siegel, who resides in Kirkwood, is responsible for engaging the university’s alumni as well as overseeing fundraising initiatives aimed at supporting scholarships and other improvements.

“Michelle has been a wonderful addition to our team already,” said Randy Loechner, Fontbonne’s vice president of advancement. “She brings comprehensive knowledge of advancement and the world of higher education to this position. I know she will be an invaluable asset in the advancement office.”

Siegel says she has always ”been impressed” with Fontbonne’s reputation, knowing firsthand what it has meant to her sister, as well as colleagues and friends who have earned their master’s degrees from the university.

“I have always loved working in higher education, and I’m thrilled to be part of a university that has contributed so much to the St. Louis community,” she said. “We have some exciting and challenging times ahead. I look forward to working with Fontbonne alumni and making a real impact on the future of the university.”

Before joining Fontbonne’s advancement division, Siegel was manager of leadership and corporate development at The American Soybean Association where she worked with corporate partners to fund and develop a variety of programs. Siegel also has experience in higher education having previously worked in admissions, student financial aid and enrollment management.

Fontbonne University is a Catholic coeducational institution of higher education offering liberal arts and professional programs, as well as evening and online formats for busy adults. Fontbonne was founded in 1923 and is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.
