Grant Thornton LLP-St. Louis Women’s Group Volunteers to Feed Families in Need at St. Louis Area Foodbank

Grant Thornton LLP-St. Louis mobilized its award-winning “Women at Grant Thornton” career development initiative to help feed poor families in the St. Louis community. On Thursday, June 14, 2012, 12 employees from the accounting firm volunteered at the St. Louis Area Foodbank, packaging 1,248 cases of food totaling 41,184 pounds, enough to provide 33,620 meals. St. Louis Foodbank is the bi-state region’s largest nonprofit food distribution center.

The nationwide “Women at Grant Thornton” initiative includes programs and activities to enhance the gender diversity of the company’s workforce and mirror diversity in its senior level positions.
