Hilliker Corporation, a St. Louis owned and managed commercial real estate company, recently provided tenant representation to The Women’s Exchange, a non-profit
organization founded in 1883. The Women’s Exchange, which has been located in a 4,000-square-foot space at 9214 Clayton Rd. since 1974, signed a 10-year lease at 8811 Ladue Rd. in the Colonial Marketplace in Ladue. Opening is scheduled for June, 2013.
The DESCO Group, a commercial real estate development and management company, represents the $17M Colonial Marketplace. The Women’s Exchange will spend $500,000 to build out their space.
The Women’s Exchange was originally designed to serve as a marketplace for women to earn a livelihood through the sale of their handmade goods. The new 6,000-square-foot store will offer new opportunities to more consignors so they can showcase their wares. The Women’s Exchange will continue to feature its children’s boutique, tea room and gift shop.
