Holly Breuer, CPA, Purk & Associates, P.C., Selected as 2012 “Women to Watch” by the Missouri State Certified Public Accountants

December 11, 2012 (St. Louis) – Holly Breuer, CPA, director at Purk & Associates, P.C., the leading, independently owned St. Louis-based accounting and management advisory firm, was recently named the 2012 “Women to Watch” by the Missouri State Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) at the November 15 awards dinner.

The Women to Watch Award highlights the accomplishments of women in the accounting profession and the impact they make on the profession and in their communities.

Breuer joined Purk & Associates in 2009. Her areas of expertise are taxation, business operations, and regulatory matters. A significant part of her clients are in professional services. Many of them have large and complex real estate, brokerage and business holdings.

She is Immediate Past Chair of the MSCPA’s Firm Leadership committee and serves as a MSCPA Mentor. Breuer is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), and a member of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. In 2012, she was selected as one of Small Business Monthly “2012 Top Small Business Accountants” by the publication’s readers.

Breuer is active in the St. Louis community where she currently serves as Finance Chair for the Board of Directors for St. Elizabeth’s Adult Day Care Centers. She is frequently asked to present to associations and charitable organizations about tax trends and year-end planning.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Fontbonne University.
