Lance Cage Named New Marketing Principal and Senior Vice President for HOK in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS – Lance Cage, LEED AP, a 25-year veteran of the construction and real estate industry, has joined HOK in St. Louis as marketing principal and senior vice president to help direct business development and marketing in the firm’s 17-state North Central Region. Cage’s skills span health care, higher education, life science, office and other projects as well as facilitating real estate development. The North Central Region is one of the firm’s top three revenue-generating operations in the world.
Cage will work with HOK’s St. Louis and Denver offices to cultivate business opportunities for aviation, justice, corporate, science and technology, planning, healthcare, education and government projects in the North Central Region, which includes 17 Midwestern states.
“Lance has helped scores of companies advance their missions through smart decision-making in real estate development and facility programs,” said Clark Davis, vice chairman of HOK. “His knowledge of financing, land acquisition and constructability issues across multiple industries will add a valuable dimension to our service to clients.”

In the Midwest, Cage has been associated with real estate projects valued at more than $1 billion.

Major assignments in St. Louis in which Cage has played a leadership role include projects for Centene Corp., Express Scripts and several projects for BJC HealthCare.
Most recently, Cage was institutional business unit leader for St. Louis-based Clayco, Inc., where he led its real estate services group for 18 months. Previously, he was a project manager for St. Louis-based ARCO Construction Co. and for Miller-Valentine Construction of Dayton, Ohio.
A U.S. Army veteran, Cage earned his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio and has a degree in civil engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. He also earned a degree in liberal arts from Wheaton College in Chicago.
Cage is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professional. He serves on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis and is its past president. He also serves the Washington University School of Engineering Alumni Advisory Council
