Legal Services of Eastern Missouri Captures World of Children Award from Progressive Youth Connection

ST. LOUIS – In recognition of its
leadership of the Homeless Adolescent Task Force, Legal Services of Eastern
Missouri (LSEM) received the World of Children Award from Progressive Youth
Connection during a ceremony May 4 at the Sheraton Clayton Plaza Hotel.

LSEM’s Homeless Adolescent Task
Force brings together various advocates and professionals who provide services
to youths, teen-agers and young adults who are experiencing homelessness. The
task force is led by LSEM’s Jennifer Heggemann, Jacki Langum, and Amanda
Schneider.

LSEM received the award in the
Government/Law category for its role in collaborating with these advocates and
professionals to improve the lives of this vulnerable population of teen
homeless.

Founded in 1972, Progressive Youth Connection
is a 501 (c) 3, not for profit corporation that provides violence prevention
programs for youth ages 5-18, education and training for parents and educators
as well as individual counseling and support group sessions.

Legal Services of Eastern Missouri
