Shontaia J. Riley Joins Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale P.C.

ST. LOUIS – Attorney Shontaia J. Riley has joined the health care practice group of the St. Louis law firm Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale P.C. Riley focuses on regulatory, compliance and other transactional and operational matters related to the health care industry and health care providers. She advises client hospitals, physician practice groups and home health agencies on various health care issues, including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) compliance; Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement; the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA); Anti-Kickback and Stark laws; and federal and state fraud and abuse laws. Riley will serve Greensfelder’s St. Louis office.

Riley comes to Greensfelder from Lashly & Baer, P.C., where she practiced law since 2009. Riley earned her law degree from Saint Louis University and a degree in communications and journalism from Washington University, both in St. Louis, Mo.    

Riley is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and Lawyers for Equality.  She sits on the board of trustees for the American Civil Liberties Union of Eastern Missouri and has volunteered for Stand Down for Vets and the Midtown Catholic Charities – Women Leadership Program.
