Anxiety and Stress...Identifying Causes and How to Lessen them

Anxiety and Stress play a significant role in our psychological and physical health both now and in the future.

As a psychotherapist, who specializes in women’s concerns stress and anxiety are reoccurring themes in therapy. You may be able to identify more obvious sources of anxiety. However, understanding how race, ethnicity, class and gender intersect in your life may provide an, ”aha,” moment! At that point, you will begin to really understand why you feel and behave as you do.

There are various ways to significantly lessen stress and anxiety. A few methods that I find very helpful are, talk therapy, relaxation techniques, EMDR, clinical hypnotherapy and writing. Depending on your individual needs, we may do a combination of therapies. Of course, you will make the final decisions regarding your therapeutic journey.
