Attorney Lauren R. Cohen Joins Law Firm Capes, Sokol, Goodman & Sarachan, P.C.

June 19, 2015, St. Louis, Missouri… The law firm of Capes, Sokol, Goodman & Sarachan, P. C., is pleased to announce that attorney Lauren R. Cohen joined the firm on June 15, 2015.

Ms. Cohen’s expertise includes complex business litigation and advisory experience defending small, mid-sized and Fortune 500 companies in a wide variety of state and federal disputes, including contractual, insurance, employment and other commercial litigation. In addition, she has successfully represented local, regional and national clients in state and federal admiralty and maritime matters, including disputes arising from collisions, maritime vessel breakaways, sinkings, groundings, and catastrophic personal injury.

Ms. Cohen is admitted to the Missouri and Illinois State bars and is licensed to practice before U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District and Western District of Missouri, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eighth Circuits. She is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Illinois State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Ms. Cohen earned her Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis in 2009 and her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis in 2006.

She currently serves on the board of the Anti Defamation League (ADL) in St. Louis, and chairs its Staenberg Fellows Program for Young Professionals. In 2013-2014, she chaired ADL’s Glass Leadership Institute program for young professionals. She is a member of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis’ Cardozo Society, and previously served on the board of the Young Professionals’ Division of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis.
