Author Charlie Claggett is shown signing copies of his new book “Max Starkloff and the Fight for Disability Rights” about Max J. Starkloff (1937-2010), who worked all his adult life to change societal attitudes about people with disabilities. The new book co-written with Richard H. Weiss published by Missouri History Museum Press is available at bookstores in addition to the Missouri History Museum and via Amazon.com. Claggett and Weiss appeared at the book’s launch party on December 2 at the History Museum.
