Armstrong Teasdale Elects Four to Executive Committee

Armstrong Teasdale's equity partners have elected Steven N. Cousins, Raymond R. Fournie, Daniel J. Godar and Daniel K. O'Toole to serve three year terms on the executive committee.

Armstrong Teasdale’s equity partners have elected Steven N. Cousins, Raymond R. Fournie, Daniel J. Godar and Daniel K. O'Toole to serve three year terms on the firm’s 11-person executive committee. Cousins, Fournie, and Godar were re-elected while O’Toole is a new member. 

Cousins has a national practice and reputation in the areas of bankruptcy, reorganization and restructuring and is a fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy.  An active community leader, Cousins serves as general counsel and an executive committee member of the Regional Commerce and Growth Association. Cousins received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1980 and B.A. from Yale University in 1977. 

Fournie, a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group, is a nationally recognized asbestos defense lawyer. He has served as national trial counsel for major asbestos clients and tried cases across the country. In addition, he has managed and disposed of thousands of asbestos cases filed in Madison County.  Fournie received his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1979 and B.S. from the University of Illinois in 1973.

Godar, a member of the firm’s Corporate Services practice group, counsels public and private corporations on a broad spectrum of legal issues. He concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, drafting and review of commercial contracts, health care and energy law. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Missouri School of Law in 1980, and B.A. from the University of Missouri - Columbia in 1977. 

O’Toole, the firm’s Litigation practice group leader, focuses on employment and labor law. He defends clients in all facets of employment litigation as well as helping them guard against the threat of suits involving a variety of personnel matters including work force reductions, restructuring and compliance. He received his J.D. from the University of Missouri - Columbia School of Law in 1990 and B.A. from Southwest Missouri State University in 1987.
