Cottage Garden: Where Plant Excitement Rains!

Award winning garden designer Adam Woodruff recommends Cottage Garden as a favorite resource for speciality plants.

Last Saturday, I spent 4 hours in Piasa, Illinois (just outside of Alton) sourcing unique plant material for a client's containers.  If you're a plantaholic like me, take the short trip to Cottage Garden, I guarantee you'll love this nursery!

In Fran Sorin’s March 4, 2009 post ‘Favorite Seed and Plant Mail Order Sources: From our GGW Contributors’ Fine Gardening magazine's Steve Silk and I both mentioned Cottage Garden in southwestern Illinois as a ‘favorite’ mail order resource for their vast range of unique plants. Fortunately, I live about 45 minutes from Cottage Garden. My visits there are always informative and inspirational. I feel a more detailed post is appropriate.
