MU Extension Workshops Offered During Money $mart Week
MU Extension is participating in Money $mart Week, April 21 - April 28, by offering three new workshops on April 23, 25, 26 and 28 on important finance topics for everyone.

The following are programs MU Extension is offering during Money Smart Week, April 21 – April 28:
- Work $mart and get paid what you are worth!
Work $mart is an interactive workshop designed to give working women the confidence and skills they need to earn fair compensation and obtain promotions. The program provides participants with information about how to determine comparable salaries in their field and geographic area, and further provides them with negotiating skills and an opportunity to negotiate through a highly engaging role-playing exercise.

Monday, April 23 in St. Louis City, at the St. Patrick’s Partnership Center, 800 N. Tucker, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. (Cost $20)
Wednesday, April 25 in St. Peters at the MU Extension Office, 260 Brown Road, 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. (Cost $49)

Thursday, April 26 in Clayton at the World Trade Center Building, 121 S. Meramec, 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. (Cost $20)

St. Louis City and County Program cost is $20 , St. Peters Program is $49. Partial scholarships are available. University of Missouri -St. Louis and University of Missouri Extension programs are open to all.
- Making Legal Decisions - Wills, Trusts, Healthcare Directives, etc.
Learn about legal tools to help you protect your children, property and healthcare - wills, trusts, healthcare directives, powers of attorney, etc.
Wednesday, April 25 at St. Louis County Library Headquarters, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. 1640 S. Lindberg Blvd.

- Safeguard Your Savings
The basics of saving and investing for people of all ages - getting started, financial markets, saving and investing concepts and avoiding fraud.
Saturday, April 28, 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at St. Louis County Library Headquarters, 1640 S. Lindberg Blvd.

Safeguard Your Savings is sponsored by the Missouri Secretary of State, University of Missouri Extension, and the Investor Protection Trust, a nonprofit organization that provides objective information to help consumers make informed investment decisions. The workshop is taught by University of Missouri Extension financial education specialists.
