Cantina Laredo now open in Clayton

The highly anticipated restaurant offers modern Mexican cuisine in a sophisticated atmosphere

The wait is over. Cantina Laredo, known for its modern spin on traditional Mexican fare, has officially opened its doors in Centene Plaza. As the newest member of the evolving Clayton restaurant scene, Cantina Laredo will serve lunch and dinner, as well as Sunday brunch, from its beautifully designed and architecturally commanding space at 7710 Forsyth Boulevard. A bustling happy hour crowd is also expected on a nightly basis with the restaurant’s close proximity to the Clayton business district.

Construction of the new 6,248 square foot space began in May 2014. The location includes inside seating for 210 and incorporates a generous bar area, one private dining room with a media center, and one semi-private room. In addition, a spacious, modern patio, outfitted with flat screen televisions and a fire feature, provides for an additional 60 guests and can be enclosed during the winter months.

“Being part of the St. Louis food scene, with its rich tradition of excellent restaurants and superb culinary talent is a fantastic opportunity for Cantina Laredo,” Josh Santiago, general manager of the Clayton location said. “The reception we’ve already received has been outstanding. Hundreds of people stopped by during the site’s construction in eager anticipation of us opening our doors. I am happy to say Cantina Laredo is now ready to introduce the St. Louis community to our modern Mexican menu in a truly beautiful atmosphere.”
