City of Clayton Issues Weekly Police Incident Report

For the reporting period of Monday, January 27th - Sunday, February 2nd, CPD officers responded to 555 calls for service, including 25 automobile accidents & 24 calls to assist the Fire Department. Among those calls were the following incidents:

Monday afternoon, an unknown female stole a package from the porch of a residence in the Davis Place Neighborhood. The incident was caught on video & a photo of the suspect is included in this report. The suspect has distinctive red hair & was seen leaving the area in small, red pickup truck.
Shortly after, a shoplifting suspect fled on foot from Richmond Heights PD officers into Clayton’s venue where he stole an unoccupied vehicle. The suspect, was arrested Monday evening & warrants were issued. For more information refer to our press release posted on Tuesday, 1/28.

Tuesday evening, officers responded to a call for a disturbance at a business in the 7600 block of Forsyth. A verbal disagreement escalated when an employee began damaging property belonging to the business. Officers de-escalated the situation & arrested the suspect.
After finding a bank in the central business district closed Wednesday evening, a man damaged property he found in the vestibule. The bank identified the individual & he is now banned from the property.
Thursday night, a red in color pickup truck left the scene of an accident in the area of Forsyth & Central after striking a light pole & fire hydrant.
Friday evening, an unknown suspect damaged the window of a vehicle in the 10 block of S. Bemiston & stole an unsecured firearm. Investigation is ongoing.
Officers responded to the 7700 block of Forsyth early Saturday morning for a report of a large fight. The primary aggressors were identified & arrested.
Saturday evening, a vehicle was stolen from a valet zone in the 8000 block of Bonhomme. The vehicle was recovered Sunday by Ferguson PD.
Lastly, CPD responded to reports of an attempted robbery on the Concordia Seminary campus Saturday evening, followed shortly after by a robbery in the area of Dartford & Aberdeen. CPD officers located & arrested 2 suspects & warrants were issued or Robbery 1st Degree, Attempted Robbery 1st Degree, & Assault 3rd Degree with $75,000 cash only bonds for each suspect.
