Clayton Residents Asked To Avoid Recycling Contamination

Republic Services is noticing an increase of food waste mixed in with recycling contents.

August 28, 2020

Our waste hauler, Republic Services, is noticing an increase of food waste mixed in with recycling contents from our residential recycling routes. No food waste, nor containers with food remnants, are recyclable. Coupled with the ongoing contamination of plastic bags, some of our recyclable materials are going to waste. Please visit www.recyclingsimplified.com for more information on the small steps you can take to maximize our resource conservation and become a better recycler.
