Clayton Water Main Break Fixed Overnight

A 12-inch water main broke in the middle of North Meramec Avenue near Pershing Avenue, in Clayton around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The break affected at least three apartment buildings on N. Meramec, according to a resident.

The break was fixed, and service restored, by 10 p.m. At midnight, crews were hosing mud off the street, before filling the hole.
