In this class, we will explore creating an accurate portrait in charcoal. Working from a live model, we will discuss anatomical landmarks, proportions, perspective, and other keys to capturing the likeness of a sitter. Using varying grades of charcoal, and a few other tools, we will explore the range of values and subtleties which can be achieved in a drawing.
