Meets on Mondays, 10am–12:30pm.
Create a life sized portrait in clay! In this class, students from beginning to advanced will study the skills and techniques used to create lifelike portrait sculptures. The topics covered in this course include: proportion, structure, volume, head gesture, facial features and skin texture. Variations of the face based on age, gender, and ethnicity will also be discussed. In class, demonstrations will teach the students a variety of sculpting and finishing techniques used in portraiture.
