Fontbonne University/KMOX Book Club Explores Bellefontaine Cemetery with Author Carol Ferring Shepley
ST. LOUIS - The Fontbonne University/KMOX Book Club welcomes Carol Ferring Shepley, author of “Tales from Bellefontaine Cemetery: Movers and Shakers, Scalawags and Suffragettes,” at its next book club event. The event will take place Friday, April 19, 11:30 a.m. at Bellefontaine Cemetery, 4947 West Florissant Ave. 63115. Guests will meet at the main office and then take a walking tour of the cemetery.
The event is free, but reservations are required. Please register online. You can also email rsvp@kmox.com with your name and phone number and reference the "April" book club to reserve a spot today.
Carol Ferring Shepley is a former art critic for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and has written for such publications as Money Magazine, Time and Harper’s Bazaar. In her most recent book, Shepley provides a guide to Bellefontaine Cemetery. She tells the history of the cemetery through the stories of those who are buried there, including William Clark, James Buchanan Eads, Susan Blow and Adolphus Busch.
