Free Hands-Only CPR training from American Heart Association certified instructors is available at SSM St. Mary's Health Center. Five classes are being offered at 9:15 at the Expect More Showcase Event. Hands-Only CPR offers a simple but effective alternative to bystanderds who are untrained in CPR or who have forgotten CPR training. Students of this class will be able to perform a type of CPR that can be used on adults because they have enough of a natural storage of oxygen in the lungs and blood to keep vital organs healthy, as long as pressure is applied to the chest.
