Partners in Sustainable Development International (PSDI) host the first “Dance on the Lilly Pads,” a fundraising event to aid the rural poor in Bangladesh and empower them to become self-sufficient. This event will feature music and dance by Bollywood Shuffle, as well as Bangladeshi and American cuisine.
Since 1987, PSDI has successfully worked with the rural poor in Bangladesh, helping 85,000 families (roughly 425,000 people) in 1,643 rural villages become financially stable and independent. PSDI’s holistic model recognizes that the poor face many obstacles to their economic recovery that only a comprehensive program offers them an opportunity for a permanent uplift out of poverty.
