Fire Department Captain Surprised with $5,000 Scholarship
Carolyn Moore will use the funds to pursue a master's degree at WGU Missouri
St. Louis resident Caroyln Moore, a fire captain with the City of St. Louis Fire Department, was recently awarded a $5,000 scholarship to Clayton-based WGU Missouri. Dr. Angie Besendorfer, Chancellor of WGU Missouri, surprised Moore with the scholarship at her workplace. Moore is pursuing a Master of Science in Management and Leadership at the fully online, nonprofit university.
