Fredbird Flies into Webster Groves Farmers Market on Thursday, June 13

St. Louis Cardinals mascot Fredbird is a special guest at the Webster Groves Farmers Market this Thursday, June 13. The popular Redbird will greet guests, sign autographs and "pitch for produce" - encouraging kids and adults to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. The Webster Groves Farmesr Market run from 3:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. each Thursday. Fredbird will appear on June 13 from 5:30 p.m. until close. On June 13, the market will be devoted to kids with a special kid's cooking class presented by Les Dames d'Escoffier from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Webster Groves Library is booked into the community tent to sign kids up for its summer reading program. In honor of Fredbird's appearance, kids can create a free, baseball-themed craft and take part in bean bag toss and hula hoop games. Shoppers will find fresh broccoli, cauliflower, radishes, cucumbers, lettuces, kale, turnips, strawberries, onions, zucchini and other locally grown produce.
